Mailling - Dashboard

General presentation

The Mailing module enables you to prepare the e-mail templates you'll send to your participants, track mailings and record errors.

To send a validated template, go to the Participants module.

Create a mail template

To create a new mail template, go to the Mailing module and click on Create a new template or duplicate an existing template.

A pop-up appears on your screen. All you have to do is fill in at least the mandatory fields (Template name, From and Subject).

Miscellaneous fields

  • Template name: name your template (visible only in backoffice)
  • From: add the shipping address and sender name as follows: AppCraft <hello@appcraft.fr>.
  • Subject: add the subject of your e-mail
  • Category: select the category of templates you wish to use.
  • User collection: select the collection of users to whom you will send this email (default participants).
  • Reply to: add a reply-to address different from the sending address, in case the participant wishes to reply to your e-mail.
  • Recipients: by default, the e-mail is sent to a test address to avoid errors (the address with which you are connected to the backoffice) - this allows you to test the design of your e-mails, but not the user variables or packaging (for this, you need to send in a real situation).
  • Email: email address to which you wish to send your test
  • First name: tester's first name
  • Last name: tester's last name

Mail body

You can then move on to building your mail body. To add a block, click on the + button between each block. All available block types are displayed.

The Add attachment button lets you attach a file to your e-mail.

Authorized file types

.pdf .jpg .odt .doc .docx .ods .xls .xlsx .zip.

Add a calendar entry

To create an agenda invitation (also called .ics), click on Create an invitation and complete at least the mandatory fields in red.

We advise you to include agenda entries in confirmation e-mails only, so as not to pollute people who won't be attending the event.

Other settings

Unsubscribe

If you want to change the text of the "Unsubscribe" button, go to Strings and change the text.

Design

You can modify the design of your template by clicking on Design. Here you can :

  • Page background: add a background (color or image) to your mail background
  • Card: add a background (color or image) to your mail body

Please note

Some messaging systems can remove the layout from your e-mails. Background images may not work, so we advise you to always set a background color in case your image is removed.
Attention

The heavier an e-mail is (attachments, images, etc.), the more likely it is to end up in spam. It's advisable to keep the design and content of your e-mails sober, to ensure better rendering and deliverability.

Add a category

To manage your numerous e-mail templates, you can categorize them. To add or modify a category, click on Manage categories.

Then link your templates to a category by clicking on the ellipses, then add a category.

Archiving a template

You can also archive mail templates we no longer use. To archive a template, click on Archive.

Your template will then appear in the archived section.

To unarchive it, follow the same process.

View your dispatch statistics

You can view a summary of your mailings directly on the Dashboard, customizing the statistics for a specific date range or template using the drop-down menus.

In Last errors you can see a partial list of e-mail addresses that have not received your campaign. For details of errors, go to the Errors tab.

To find out more about your shipments, go to the Shipping tab.
