Create all your SMS templates
Create a new SMS template
To create a new template, click on the "SMS" module in the back office.
Once you're in the module, a dashboard lets you track the progress of SMS dispatches:
You can sort the display and filter by date:
The dashboard also gives you an overview of SMS messages sent, the number of credits used and scheduled SMS messages:
This data can also be filtered by SMS for a more detailed view:
The SMS "Template" tab also lets you create new SMS messages using the "Create new template" button:
The "Manage categories" button lets you add, modify or delete a category. The category lets you sort your SMS messages into clear lists such as VIP, CEO, ...
1- You can directly modify the name given to a category in the location.
2- You can delete a category
3- You can add a new category
The categories created are the same for SMS and e-mail. If you delete a category, but had assigned it to an e-mail, it will automatically be deleted from the e-mail.
Modify a category
If a category is linked to an email and an SMS, and you change the category name in the SMS, it will retain the old name in the email.
You can also get an overview of scheduled SMS messages:
1- Indicates the SMS template concerned by the programmed sending
2- Shows you the target concerned when you've applied a condition
3- Tells you when the SMS will be sent
4- Allows you to access programming details by redirecting you to the "programmed" tab
You can also view statistics on SMS messages sent:
1- Tells you which SMS template has been sent
2- Tells you who received the SMS
3- tells you when the SMS was sent
4- Gives you access to the details of the sending by redirecting you to the "Sending" tab.
From the dashboard, you can have an overview of your created SMS messages and modify them:
SMS messages can be filtered by category:
Numerous options are also available from the 3 little dots on the SMS :
1- Modify SMS content
2- Program an SMS
3- Add a category to an SMS
4- Archive an SMS
5- Delete an SMS
Modify SMS content
1- The "title" zone lets you give your SMS a name. This name will only be visible to back office administrators.
2- Choose a category from the drop-down list.
3- By default, you are connected to a test account. To send the SMS, select the contacts
4- The "sender" zone lets you enter a sender name for your template.
5- The "text" zone lets you edit the content of your SMS.
6- This element gives you information on the content of your SMS. In particular, the number of characters remaining for 1 SMS and the number of SMS to be sent.
7- This pop-up gives you useful information and best practices, such as the number of characters.
Programming an SMS
It's important to be careful when scheduling a mailing. Make sure that the content will not change, and don't make changes at the last minute (either to the content or to the date and time of sending).
1- Choose the SMS template to program
2- Define the date and time of sending (a slot is proposed every 5 minutes)
3- Choose a collection of participants, e.g. speakers
4- Indicate which category of participant is concerned by the sending by applying a filter
Add a category
You can add a category by simply selecting it:
Archive an SMS
If you archive an SMS, it will no longer appear in the templates but in a new "archived" tab:
You can unarchive the SMS at any time to make it reappear in the total list:
If you wish to send SMS messages, you'll need to integrate the "phone" field into the form. SMS messages can only be sent if the form is respected (hyphens between characters and dots are not taken into account). You won't be able to send an SMS from a text or number field.
The benefits of SMS
SMS is a good alternative to the PWA/mobile app. If necessary, it can replace the need to send notifications.
